立法會議員或記者有機會應向特首曾蔭權，又或是未來特首唐英年、梁振英問這樣的問題：你相信全世界公認居上帝般地位的諾貝爾獎是真正公正的嗎？去年你們高度評價高錕獲獎，今年是否覺得諾獎的價值有不同的標準？你認為包括德蘭修女、杜圖主教、孟德拉、昂山素姬在內的諾貝爾和平獎得主都是實至名歸的嗎？你認同挪威諾貝爾委員會主席亞格蘭（ Thorbjoern Jagland）所說：「國際人權法和標準高於民族國家，而且國際社會有責任確保它們得到尊重」嗎？如果有 15位諾貝爾和平獎得主聯署一封公開信，你會認為這公開信值得尊重及重視嗎？ (閱讀全文)

俄國大文豪托爾斯泰的晚年巨作《復活》(寫於 1889-1899），對筆者年輕時的人道主義思想情懷影響極深，至今仍記得托翁寫主人公聶赫留朵夫在長期和廣泛地接觸被流放的囚犯後，他總括當時俄國的囚犯不外是四種人：第一種人是本身沒有犯罪，純然是法庭錯誤判決的犧牲者；第二種人是幾乎任何人處在他們的境況下都會犯罪的人，比如面對不公平待遇而盛怒下的暴力；第三種人是確實犯了罪，但相對於他犯的罪，社會對他犯的罪卻大得多；而最令人唏噓的是第四種人，他們之所以被判有罪，只不過因為他們的道德比其他人高尚，比如政治犯。 (閱讀全文)

The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided to award the Nobel Peace Prize for 2010 to Liu Xiaobo for his long and non-violent struggle for fundamental human rights in China. The Norwegian Nobel Committee has long believed that there is a close connection between human rights and peace. Such rights are a prerequisite for the"fraternity between nations" of which Alfred Nobel wrote in his will. (閱讀全文)
